Gain a thorough understanding of your 35mm film. The class covers equipment choices, the basics of composition, exposure, depth of field, focal length and how to make the most of existing conditions. Lectures will also cover resolution, format and image acquisition. Weekly assignments will encourage experimentation and growth.

An introduction to the basic tools of Adobe Photoshop® Elements & CS2, different selection and color-correction techniques, copying and pasting layers, as well as scanning and printing. Familiarity with Macintosh® or Windows® interface and operations is required.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY AND PHOTOSHOP
2 Sessions: May 10 - 11, 2008, Sat. & Sun., 9:30 am-4:30 pm

In this two-day class we cover the camera’s functions and we discuss Aperture, shutter, and ISO, along with histograms to gain control of the camera. Daily local field trips will allow us to capture images, and we will use Photoshop and bridge to review and enhance your photos along with simple raw conversion and printing.
