Entries for the INFOCUS Juried Exhibition must be postmarked no later than March 28, 2008. Entries postmarked after March 28 will be returned unopened. All submissions must be picked up from the Centre no later than May 16, unless you enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your submitted prints so they can be returned. The Centre is not responsible for work not picked up by May 16, 2008.

There is a non-refundable entry fee of $25 for up to three (3) images (prints). Personal checks should be made payable to the Palm Beach Photographic Centre. Please do not send cash.

Submissions must be in the form of unframed prints. Using the labels provided, please clearly label the back of each print with: Name / Title / Size / Medium. A maximum of three (3) images may be entered. Please indicate “Top” of the print and number each to correspond with your entry form.

Images that are accepted for exhibition must be matted and framed in accordance with the professional standards of Palm Beach Photographic Centre Museum. Please mat images in a white, cream or ivory shade of your choice, and frame them with silver or black aluminum section frames. Any print not conforming to the above standards will not be shown.

ARNOLD H. DRAPKIN'S ten years as picture editor for TIME, won the magazine over 200 awards for photographic excellence. He received the NPPA’s prestigious Sprague Lifetime Achievement Award, one of photojournalism’s highest honors, and the FOTOFusion Golden Career Award. Currently a photographic consultant, Arnold was Director of Photography for the 1989 Bush inauguration and photographic consultant for the Bill Clinton and George W. Bush inaugurals. In addition, he was a photo manager for the 1996 Summer Olympics and has directed the FOTOFusion Festival since its inception.

1. Complete & sign the entry form. (please print clearly). NOTE: The labels provided are to be attached to the back of each print submitted.

2. Enclose a check for $25, made payable to the Palm Beach Photographic Centre. If you are not an INFOCUS member, please indicate membership amount on the entry form and enclose payment for annual dues:

$70 for Individual $100 for Family
$250 for Supporter $500 for Friend
$1,000 for Patron $2,500 for Benefactor
$5,000 for Grand Benefactor

3. Label and number each print (maximum 3) to correspond to your entry form.

4. Please mail to the following address, your entry form, prints, entry fee, non-refundable membership fee (for new INFOCUS members) and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to return your prints:

Framed artwork measuring more than 28” in any direction cannot be accepted for exhibition without prior written permission from the Executive Director. All artwork should be ready to install and properly identified with the provided label securely attached. The Juror’s decision is final. No substitutions will be granted.

Accepted artists are responsible for all shipping arrangements and expenses. Round-trip shipping expenses must be prepaid. Those entries sent collect will not be accepted. Please allow two (2) weeks for shipment. Artwork must be packed in reusable packing, and all packing material must be sufficient for safe return. Crates must be clearly and properly labeled for return shipment. All artwork to be shipped must meet shipping agents’ requirements. Please ship all materials to the following address:

Original artwork accepted for exhibition must be delivered no later than 5 pm, Monday, June 2, 2008, and picked up no later than 5 pm, Friday, August 29, 2008. Artwork will not be released to any person other than the artist without written authorization from the artist to the Palm Beach Photographic Centre.

Unless prior written permission is granted, artwork not picked up by 5 pm, August 29, 2008, will be subject to an initial charge of $10.00 plus $2.00 for each additional business day. If the artwork is not retrieved by Friday, August 29, 2008, you will be liable for all additional expenses of storage, including packing, transportation, insurance and off-site storage expenses.

While caution will be exercised in the handling of accepted artwork, the Palm Beach Photographic Centre cannot assume liability for loss or damage caused by shipping or hand-delivery of artwork. It is the responsibility of the artist to provide adequate insurance coverage for their artwork. By entering the competition, the artist grants the Palm Beach Photographic Centre permission to reproduce their artwork for publicity and/or educational purposes.
