Description

Are you interested in digital photography? Do you want to learn more about using your camera, taking great pictures, and editing them in Photoshop? Do you want to publish your photography art in a book? If you are between the ages of 9 and 17 and love photography, join us for Picture Print Publish.

Picture Print Publish is a 2-session workshop where participants learn the basics of digital photography and image editing with Adobe Photoshop. There will be an expedition downtown to take pictures and then return to the computer lab to make our very own photography book.

Each participant is issued a Canon digital SLR Camera for the day. Using Adobe Photoshop you will learn image adjustment techniques such as color correction, adjustment layers and layer masks and other digital imaging technology. Sessions in the computer lab will expose you to downloading images, saving and renaming files, burning CDs, and creating a book through www.Blurb.com.

A basic understanding of operating a DSLR camera is required for this workshop. No prior photography experience required but students need to bring their own Epson Photo Paper for printing images.
