Description

Digital photography can almost magically expand your working parameters, allowing you to convey visions that were previously a technical impossibility. But, to optimize your digital photography, you must learn new ways of making images. Working with natural subject matter, this step-by-step workshop will guide you to the best methods to capture the information, and then transform the data into your personal vision using Adobe Photoshop. The workshop structure includes lectures, field sessions, computer work and critiques. You will emerge with an understanding of how to extend the dynamic range and depth of field using multiple captures; how to judge the optimum exposure for digital captures; and how, to use channels, layers, masks, curves and different color spaces in Adobe Photoshop to edit your raw images in a non-destructive manner. You must bring a digital SLR camera and a good tripod made for outdoor photography. You must have at least a basic understanding of your camera and Adobe Photoshop.
