The first day is spent shooting digital images preferably with a digital SLR camera that can capture RAW files. We’ll talk about RAW conversion, White Balance, Contrast Issues, and Color and Black& White workflows using Adobe Photoshop CS Camera RAW. The next four days are spent in the lab discussing the 16-bit Digital Fine Print Workflow that covers Input, Optimizing Contrast and Detail, Overall Contrast and Color Balance, Local Contrast and Color controls, Sharpening, Interpolation, and printing with the Epson print driver for color and the ColorByte ImagePrint RIP for B&W. Special emphasis will be placed on Optipix software. Please bring your digital camera, tripod, lots of memory cards, lots of batteries, and other camera accessories. Please bring some method to store your images and the camera instruction booklet. You will be responsible for the operation of your camera.
