Description
This weekend workshop is for anyone who wants to really understand how to use small flash effectively and creatively. We will discuss the various types of flash with an emphasis on built-in and on-camera units as well as simple monobloc type flash-heads. The two-day session combines lectures and demonstrations with hands-on participation and daily critiques allowing you to explore on-camera flash, bounce flash and off-camera flash, fill-flash, mixing flash with available light sources, and positioning your flash for maximum effectiveness. Harrison will show you how he often uses a single off-camera strobe with an umbrella or bounce card to create beautiful portraits on location. You will experiment with slow-sych effects and when to use front and rear curtain sync.
