Description
Every successful studio photographer applies the same basic principles when controlling light in order to produce a desired look to the subject. The key is to know how to modify raw strobe or continuous light sources using light modifiers such as umbrellas, soft boxes, diffusers and reflectors. The purpose of this seminar is to explain and illustrate these principles and how typical studio equipment is used. The all-important role of the “main light” is explored along with the use of fill, accent and background lighting. Also covered is the question of lighting ratios and how to determine the correct exposure as well as some pointers about making choices for equipment in a start up studio.
