Learn to take full advantage of your Rebel dSLR during this three-day workshop. Designed for beginners who want to progress beyond “fully automatic” mode and take their photography to the next level, the class provides an introduction to the basics of controlling exposure, focus, and depth of field along with an explanation of critical digital concepts, including resolution and the JPEG and Camera Raw formats. You’ll also gain a better understanding of all the controls on your camera and how to use them to take better portraits, action shots, landscape pictures, and close-ups. Classroom lectures are followed by photo excursions where you can practice using the techniques you learn to capture the shot you have in your mind’s eye. (Note: In order to allow sufficient time for covering photography skills, this class does not cover the Canon computer software or other digital-photography programs.) Please indicate your camera model when registering.
