Description
Explore the flexibility of image manipulation using the newest version of Adobe Photoshop and learn to create special effects using built-in filters and third-party plug-ins. Learn to digitize and color correct images, create image montages, master selection tools, and work with masking and layering. Discussions and hands-on instruction illustrate image resolution for optimizing scanning and output. Whether you are an experienced film photographer looking to enhance your work or make the transition from film to digital; or one of the many new enthusiasts enjoying their experiences with digital cameras, this workshop is for you.

Biography
LAURENCE GARTEL is considered the "Father" of Digital Art for over thirty years. An early pioneer, Gartel worked with video guru Nam June Paik at Media Study/Buffalo in NY. His works have been exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, Princeton Art Museum, Norton Museum of Art, Joan Whitney Payson Museum, Palm Beach Photographic Museum, and in the permanent collections of the
mithsonian Institution's Museum of American History & the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris. Gartel taught Andy Warhol how to
se the Amiga Computer while working on the Debbie Harry album cover. Always the Pop Culturist, Gartel has worked on many exciting projects for the National Basketball Association, Coca Cola, Philip Morris, Absolut Vodka, Walt Disney Company, Gibson Guitars, as well as for celebrities such as Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Red Hot Chili Peppers and others. |
