Description
Just as a carpenter decides which tools are necessary to build a house, a photographer should know which tools in Photoshop will accomplish the task. Photographers have different needs than graphic artists or web designers – Lewis will approach Photoshop from a photographer’s perspective. Learning how to harness the power and the areas of Photoshop that are essential for the photographer is a challenge. We will take you beyond the basics and into more depth. You need to know the tools, where the menus are, how to create layers and adjustment layers. If you feel you are not comfortable knowing 15-25% of what Photoshop offers, then this workshop will expand your knowledge of the portions that are useful to photographers. Learn the power of curves, how to use the History Palette for more than undos, sophisticated sharpening techniques, advanced spotting techniques, the power of adjustment layers. Learn to selectively apply filters, color corrections, and contrast controls without making time-consuming selections. We will also cover layer masks, channel masks, color management, and tips for making great prints.

| Biography
LEWIS KEMPER specializes in nature and wildlife photography using digital and 4 x 5 cameras. His work is represented worldwide by Getty Images, Index Stock Imagery, Phototake, AFLO Japan and DRK Photo. He is a member of Canon’s Explorers of Light, a group of the country’ most influential photographers. His computer enhanced images have been used in advertisements, cards, bookmarks, and calendars throughout the world. He is a contributing editor to Outdoor Photographer and PC Photo magazines. He has contributed to Photoshop books including Photoshop for Nature Photographers and 50 Fast Photoshop Techniques. Lewis teaches digital imaging seminars around the country for Palm Beach Photographic Centre.
