Description

Join George Schaub in an intensive three-day exploration of the art and craft of black and white printing using digital inkjet printers, Adobe Photoshop, various plug-ins and, most importantly, a simplified approach that both silver printers and newcomers to this craft will appreciate and enjoy. The workshop begins with each student showing work in progress or images they want to print. Then, group technique sessions go over workflow, use of Photoshop tools and techniques and refinement procedures for crafting excellent prints. Special emphasis is placed on processing Raw image files to create a strong foundation for monochrome imagery. Individual and group critiques are conducted throughout the workshop time. The aim of the workshop is to master the tools and techniques that will lead to making great monochrome prints from any image.
