Landscape photography has a long tradition in photography that includes work in the darkroom. Lightroom provides the tools to bring us back to the same controls of the classic landscape photographers, but now in the computer. In this class, you will be photographing the landscape, exploring better ways to capture it, including regular critiques of the lessons by instructor Rob Sheppard, author of the Magic of Digital Landscape Photography. In addition, you will be learning to use Lightroom in order to bring out the best from your landscape photos, to go beyond the arbitrary and often inaccurate capture of the landscape by a camera. You will learn to better define the subject and composition to bring out what you originally saw in that landscape.
ROB SHEPPARD is the author/photographer of more than 40 photography books. He has written hundreds of articles about photography and nature, plus books including the Magic of Digital Nature Photography, the Magic of Digital Landscape Photography, Landscape Photography: From Snapshot to Great Shot, and the National Geographic Field Guide to Digital Photography. A well-known speaker and workshop leader, he was the long-time editor of Outdoor Photographer and is a contributing editor now.
