with Jean Miele Mar 3-5, 2017: 9:30am - 5:30pm Description If you’ve been limiting yourself to overall image-adjustments in Lightroom, or if you think Lightroom isn’t for “serious” photographers, you’ve been using it wrong. Join Jean “Gino” Miele for this three-day advanced class, and learn how Lightroom’s super-powerful local adjustment tools will help you get the most out of your RAW files. The Linear Gradient, Radial Gradient and Brushes are the keys to power in Lightroom, and if you haven’t been using them (or using them sparingly), you’ve been missing out. Digital darkroom work is all about transformation, and these all-too-often overlooked tools (along with a streamlined “bottom-up” workflow in Lightroom’s develop module) provide access to serious transformation. You’ll learn to balance overly-contrasty images, re-direct attention where you want the viewer to look, and make your pictures “sing.” This workshop includes lots of individual attention and hands-on computer practice time in a friendly and encouraging environment. By the time the workshop is complete, you’ll be seeing Lightroom in an all-new light. Prerequisite: You should be entirely comfortable with computers and LightRoom. Please arrive for class with lots of your own RAW files to work on, as well as hard drives/jump drives with adequate storage space to bring your work home. We will work exclusively in Adobe Lightroom. Biography Recognized for
