The Photographer's Assistant Workshop  Rachel Louise Brown Monday Oct 16 – 10 am - 1:00 pm Members: FREE • Non-members: $75 • Prerequisites: None  Space Limited to 10 participants.   The artist will hold a photographic assistant workshop. Demonstrating and testing basic technical skills and the characteristics needed to be a great assistant. Skills such as studio lighting, working with available light, light meter readings, loading and unloading medium format film, shoot production and health and safety will be demonstrated. Those who participate can then, if they wish, go with the artist during shoots in West Palm Beach for her exhibition. Bio  Rachel Louise Brown makes responsive work based on interactions with the unfamiliar. She observes the world as a stage, exploring alone and occasionally populating the images with willing strangers. Through these interactions, Brown endeavors to question the construction of society and to give a platform for the people and places that come before her lens. Rachel Louise Brown graduated from the Royal College Of Art in 2011 (MA photography), following a critical certificate in photography in 2009 (School Of Visual Arts, NYC) And BA (Hons) Photography (London College Of Communication) in 2008.
