March 23 - 24, 2018 10am-5pm 2 day workshop with 1 hour lunch Workshop price does not include entry fee. A two-day workshop like no other. If you’ve already taken Intro to DSLR and Photo 101 or the equivalent, then you’re ready for this amazing series. Under the careful guidance of photographer Shane Srogi, test your skills and try new techniques at this environmental treasure! See Florida’s natural beauty through the lens of a camera. Snag a photograph of nature in action! Day One: You’ll meet at the Centre for a brief morning introduction. You’ll review your photography in a critique setting. Feel free to discuss issues you're encountering, effects you’re having trouble mastering, hear ideas for techniques, tips, and concepts that you may have not yet explored. Be sure to bring with you photographs you have already taken! Shane will review techniques that might be helpful for the upcoming location shoot, and then you’ll be off! You’ll head out and meet up on location. On day two, you will meet once again at the Centre for the unique opportunity to have a secondary review. The Public is Invited to FREE Opening Reception on Friday, March 23, 6 to 8 pm   Beginning March 24, through April 28, 2018 Palm Beach Photographic Centre to Present Two Simultaneous Exhibitions Once in a LIFE Time The Photographs of Ralph Morse and SIMULATIONS Photographs by Rachel Louise Brown March 24 through April 28     Once in a LIFE Time The Photographs of Ralph Morse Photojournalist, Innovator, Magician   This is the first posthumous exhibit of the works of Ralph Morse. Early in his career, the acclaimed photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt grasped his innate talent and hand-delivered Morse to the editors of LIFE Magazine. His career there spanned from being LIFE’s youngest war correspondent in 1942 to photographing John Glenn’s return to space in 1998. Eisenstaedt’s words were prophetic: "He's going to be one of the Greats.”   Forever thinking on his feet, Morse would skirt the rest of the press to configure unique angles. He would make friends on the spot and enlist them in inventing novel apparatus and avenues for seizing the moment. Captions weren’t needed: His photographs themselves told the story.   “Morse pioneered and perfected multiple-exposure photography,” says NeJame. “He could magically place as many as five images on one frame of film, leaving viewers spellbound—and curious. How did he do that?    Also on exhibit will be   SIMULATIONS Photographs
