When we think of childhood…we think worlds of color! In the Kids Portraits that Pop workshop, we will explore just this… making photographs that are full of life and literally pop from the page with colorful backdrops, bright props and splashy lighting. In this three day workshop come learn how to light, style and most importantly direct children in a photo shoot to make the most amazing portraits ever! This workshop will encompass two days of learning different lighting set-ups, using props, location scouting, practical methods for getting children of all ages to pose for the camera, and practicing making photographs. On the last day of the workshop we will meet to go over your results where feedback and suggestions will be provided.
MICHELLE PEDONE, an award winning New York City based portrait photographer, grew up in a military family being the new kid in a classroom at least 16 times. This has given her a unique perspective experiencing the subculture in each new place and nourished her love of pop culture, so evident in her work today. Her energetic personality, eye for color, details and clean graphic style lends itself to a variety of subject matter and her work has been featured in many publications including Seventeen, Men’s Health and World Wrestling Entertainment Magazine, along with advertising campaigns for Old Navy and The Learning Channel.
